Many are feeling the deep uncertainty of these times. In more distant times, grief was regularly acknowledged by the community and space and time were made for it to be expressed and processed. Grieving is a natural and potent expression of our human condition. In our present day and modern culture, it has increasingly difficult to bring attention to the events, people and experiences moving through our lives that need the time and space to grieve and let go off. The traditions and practices that were alive in all of our ancestries has lost it's power or even been forgotten. Bringing ourselves together to share and express our grief not only reinvokes a remembering of the power of grieving in community, it also brings salve to our hearts and connection to our souls, providing us with renewed inspiration to move forward in life through this reconciliation. Please join us and be a part of building a safe, intimate, creative and celebratory tradition here in Topanga by participating in this month ceremony. Together we'll explore our personal, family, ancestral, community, and greater planetary Grief using the tools of Council, Grief Meditation and a community Grief Ritual.
