So, What's The Book About Anyways?
"The Thread that Pulls on All Things" tells the story of a group of teen boys guided out into the lower Sierra Nevada wilderness of California on a three day backpacking trip. The intent? To undertake thier first rite of passage initiation. It's an adventure full of philosophical musings, poetic daydreams, and challenging realizations about who we are as individuals and as a species in our modern culture.
Through the lens of "experiential anthropology," The Thread explores how our most ancient ancestors might have created rites of passages and incorporated their value throughout our oldest cultural histories across ancient time. I'd love for this book to inspire its audience with a story about the value of rites of passage, ancestral lineage, and nature connection. Especially in these times when it seems most deeply needed!
